Be My Secret Keeper | Writings by Shha

Oh whispering winds, as you wander,

Carry my secrets on a butterfly,

Let the sparkling sand be my stage,

As the clouds paint my heart in the sky,

Oh pale moonlight, as you witness my sleepless nights,

Hold my tears in your luminous bosom,

Let the starry night be my audience,

As the ancient leaves sing my chorus,

Oh sun-dappled forest, deep and mysterious,

Bury my confessions in your roots,

Let the rustling branches be my veil,

As the wildflowers guide my way to hope,

Hold them close, these whispered tales,

The joys, the fears and the dreams that make me whole,

Be my secret keeper, my confidant,

And let these tales be never told.

More about The Poem...

Shha comments, 'This poem is about the secrets, dreams, confessions, and fears that we can't trust anyone to share with.'

"Be My Secret Keeper" is a delicate and evocative poem that explores themes of nature, secrecy, and emotional expression. The speaker entrusts the elements—winds, moonlight, and forest—with their deepest secrets, desires, and sorrows. Each stanza personifies a different aspect of nature, asking it to carry, witness, or conceal the speaker’s intimate emotions. The wind is asked to carry secrets, the moon to hold tears, and the forest to bury confessions. Through vivid imagery and a lyrical tone, the poem paints a picture of a deeply personal connection between the speaker and the natural world, portraying nature as a confidant and keeper of the speaker’s innermost thoughts and feelings.
