Without Care | Ace Lee

In the maze of today's tangled thoughts,

Expectations and hate weave their knots.

Strange behaviours swirl in the air,

People lost, wandering without care.

Today's events, a harsh storm's breath,

Tore me down, brought feelings of death.

Yet in the same breath, I felt a spark,

Proud to stand with him, even in the dark.

Love and care for a boy now gone,

A dead boy whose memory lives on.

The pieces left by idiots online,

Paint a dark day, a sorrowful sign.

That kid didn't need to die,

In the web of ignorance and lies.

Sabotaging progress with blind eyes,

Too afraid to uncover the cries.

Noah's friends, did they play a role?

The truth would shatter many souls.

Better not know, they might say,

Then face the pain of that dark day.

Expectations, a double-edged sword,

Hate, a poison, striking with a hoard.

Strange behaviours, misunderstood,

People acting, not knowing they should.

Why do we cling to what's unknown?

Afraid to let our true selves be shown.

We hide behind masks, play our parts,

Ignoring the screams of broken hearts.

Today I felt worthless, a shadow's shade,

But also proud, a fierce barricade.

To love in the face of such despair,

Is to show courage, to truly care.

In the name of love, we fight the night,

For the memory of the boy, we ignite.

A candle in the dark, a guiding light,

Through the storm, we continue our flight.

People on Facebook, spreading their bile,

Darkening the day, mile by mile.

They don't understand, they never will,

The pain they cause, the hearts they kill.

But we stand strong, despite their hate,

Holding onto love, our chosen fate.

For the dead boy, we carry on,

His spirit with us, never gone.

In this dark day, we find our way,

Through the shadows, come what may.

For every tear, for every cry,

We stand together, you and I.

In the maze of today's tangled thoughts,

Expectations and hate weave their knots.

But love, strange as it may seem,

Is the thread that sews the dream.

People just don't know what they're doing,

Lost in a fog, their own ruin.

But we, with love, will clear the path,

Through the chaos, we'll find our wrath.

For the boy who died, we march ahead,

In his name, through the dark we tread.

Expectations, hate, strange behaviors too,

All melt away in the light of what's true.

Hold my hand, we'll face the fray,

For love and care, we'll find our way.

In this dark world, we'll be the light,

Together, we'll make it right.
