Sometimes I find,
A lady walking by,
Arms by her side,
Wearing black,
Then I see,
Her speed increase,
Being discreet,
She grabs his waist,
The boy froze still,
Unable to spill,
Cries of chill,
She tugged his neck,
Nobody moved,
Yet everybody knew,
The crime went through,
She clapped his lips,
Then one next day,
The boy came to say,
Toyed and played,
The officer laughed,
He already knew,
Daughter told him too,
The boy grabbed her waist,
He tugged her neck.
The boy wore chains,
Chalk walls of shame,
Yelped in pain,
Wearing black.
More about the poem...
The writing is completely fictional and isn't based on any real-life occurring events. Showcases the hidden stigma that appears to be that women are still the only main victim of assault. Men are very much also in the spotlight for assault, yet criminal convictions and news coverage are never as serious and explicit when the male is the victim.
